Graduation Requirements

  • Language Arts/English: 40 Credits
  • Social Science: 30 Credits
  • Math: 20 Credits (must include 10 credits of Algebra)
  • Science: 20 Credits (10 credits of a life science and 10 credits of a physical science)
  • Physical Education: 20 Credits
  • Fine Arts/Foreign Lang/CTE: 10 Credits
  • Ethnic Studies: 5 Credits
  • Electives: 45 Credits

Total: 190 Credits

In addition to the above academic requirements, the following is also required for graduation:

Students at New Haven Academy are required to earn one credit per week in each enrolled course, totaling approximately twenty-five credits per semester. They are also expected to engage in a minimum of four hours of coursework per day, Monday through Friday, in addition to the required weekly sessions. Students typically take two courses at a time.
